A creative platform for students to showcase some brilliant work.
Arena to host ‘Creative Minds’ inter-centre students’ competition in Bangalore
Bangalore: Taking the successful ‘Creative Minds’ series to India’s South Zone, Arena Animation is all set to host one such event in Bangalore this week.
On Thursday, September 10, 2009, Arena students from all centres in & around Bangalore will gather at the Mother Tekla Auditorium for the regional grand finale of ‘Creative Minds’ inter-centre students’ competition.
In the run-up to the final event, students from various Arena centres sent in their best animation & multimedia work to participate in this exciting contest. Each team got approximately 30 days to create something new & enter their work in the competition. Such activities help build students’ creativity & foster the spirit of healthy competition.
Categories under which students entered their work:
Only the best work in the above categories has been shortlisted & will be showcased on Thursday during the grand finale. Senior animation industry person, Prof. RL Mistry shall view the entries along with Shyamal Das, Territory Academics Head - West & South Zone, Arena, Puneet Sharma, Technical Consultant to Arena and Ramesh Chandan, Regional Academics Head - Arena.
All these jury members will brainstorm to select the works they consider to be worthy of the top prizes in each category.
For this event, students worked in teams & learnt to meet tight deadlines. Through interactions with industry professionals such as Prof. Mistry, they will also learn exactly how the animation industry works.
