Creative Minds & Perspectives 2015 concludes at Indore, MP
Arena Animation organised two exclusive events – Creative Minds and Perspectives – on August 23, 2015 at Brilliant Convention Center, Vijay Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Creative Minds presents a platform for zonal level student competitions and workshops by industry experts. 500+ students from various Arena Animation centres participated in the event.
Perspectives is an event open to all, where the attendees gain first-hand knowledge and insight into careers in the animation, multimedia, and web designing industry from industry experts in each of these fields.
Prashant Shahane, CG head at Trace VFX, conducted a learning session at Creative Minds. He covered topics including 3D product packshot & visual effects - behind the scenes of creative & technical processes. According to Mr. Shahane, a profession in the animation industry needs not only hard work, but also smart work. He offered first-hand advice on media and entertainment industry and career opportunities awaiting the students.
During an interactive session with students at Creative Minds, Atul Bhatkar, technical director at e-Plus Studios mentioned that the animation industry has grown manifold. Yet, the media and entertainment industry face acute shortage of talented professionals to fill job vacancies for 3D animators, 3D artists, motion graphics artists, lighting & rendering artists, flash animators, digital sculpting artists, web designers, creative advertisers, illustrators, visualisers, storyboard artists, and 3D modelers.
Students presented their works in categories including 3D architectural visualization, 3D character animation sequence, 3D facial modeling & rigging, 3D product packshot, channel ident, character design, website design, digital illustration, and VFX scene.
A jury comprising of prominent personalities including Prashant Shahane & Atul Bhatkar evaluated student works and chose the winners.
