Virtual Reality (VR) transforms the online shopping experience and make it safe and frustration-free for consumers.
In the wake of the global pandemic, VR has made Christmas shopping less stressful and a whole lot safer. Virtual Reality takes online shopping to a whole new level. Instead of browsing the retail websites, shoppers can now explore virtual versions of brick-and-mortar stores. The in-store shopping experiences are recreated through 360-degree views of retail stores.
Dior is a noteworthy example. They made a virtual version of their store in Champs-Elysees, Paris. Shoppers can tour around the store, zoom in on the products on the shelves, and even browse a wide range of products like perfumes, candles, and scarves that they sell in the physical store.
Even without a VR headset, shoppers can take a look around from their smartphones, tablets, or PCs. It may not be as immersive though.
