About the film
Animal sacrifice continues unchecked in some parts of India despite globalization and the emergence of modern lifestyles. The animation short film ‘The Farmer and His Goat’ is a strong attempt to dissuade the evil practice of animal slaughter by creating a hypothetical situation - wherein the man himself becomes the victim of sacrifice at the hands of the very animal which has been unthinkingly and ceaselessly slaughtered by him in the name of religion for many centuries now.
