What’s the film about?
‘Hugo Vs Lino’ is a sci-fi thriller, a short film featuring high technical values & a surprise twist in the narrative. The film is a High-Definition 3D Animation short film crafted by 25 Animation students of Arena in just 60 days. The advanced software used for the film include Maya 2009, Digital Fusion, Photoshop and Maya 2009 Backburner.

Awards won:

  • Best Animation Film Award:
    At ‘The National Film Festival - IMT Nagpur’ in October 2010. The Award came with a cash prize, a citation and a unique honour: A special screening of 'Hugo Vs Lino' in theatres of Shamiana’s chapters across India at Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Baroda and Goa.
  • Best Animation Film Award:
    At ‘The Short and Documentary Film Festival of Hyderabad, 2010’. The festival attracted scores of entries across categories from filmmakers all over India. Over a hundred short films and documentaries - including some of the best foreign short and documentary films - were screened at the festival. Veterans of the Telugu film industry Dr. D. Ramanaidu, Mrs. Jayasudha & Senior Artist AVS and the FDC Chairman Mr. Parthasaradhi gave away Awards to the winners.
