Arena Animation organizes ‘Perspectives’ seminar on VFX in Pune
June 25, 2011: Arena Animation, the leader in high-end animation education, presented ‘Perspectives: A seminar at VFX Pavilion 2011’, celebrating quality Visual Effects (VFX) produced in India. The seminar was attended by over 250 animation students, career aspirants and animation & visual effects enthusiasts.
Speakers at the seminar included:
• Yunus Bukhari, Creative Director and COO of Geon Studios (A Sahara India
Pariwar initiative)
• Shome Dasgupta, Sr. VFX Producer of Prime Focus
• Mehul Hirani, Creative Director of Crest Animation Studio
Bukhari spoke about the emerging strength of India in the field of VFX. He said that VFX has not only become an integral part of the Indian film industry, but also that the VFX for a number of Hollywood films has been executed in India. He showcased Gulliver’s Travels, the VFX of which was done at Geon Studios in India.
Shome Dasgupta of Prime Focus and Mehul Hirani too showcased the making of different Hollywood films that were worked-upon at their studios in India.
