Arena Students’ Symposium 2011 Organized by Arena Animation

• Event:
  A symposium organized for students of Arena Animation, Raj Nagar Ghaziabad at Mumbai from 25th-29th March 2011.
  
  
• Objectives:
  

  The symposium focused on providing the students exposure to the animation industry by way of workshops and Animation and VFX Master Classes. Also, a tour of the top animation studios in the city was provided.

• Happenings:
  

  The four days of the event as expected, gave the students of Arena Raj Nagar, an enriching experience. The students got to learn the various nuances of animation by way of workshops on 3D Stereoscopy & Film Making and Visualization & Sound Design.

  The presence of animation experts like Mr. Yunus Bukhari and Vaibhav Kumaresh gave a further boost to the students’ enthusiasm and excitement.

  Mr. Bukhari, the visual effects supervisor for the recent animation hit movie ‘Toonpur ka Superrhero’, presented his expertise on animation by conducting a Masterclass on ‘Visual Effects.’ Mr. Kumaresh meanwhile offered students another perspective by conducting a Masterclass on ‘Visual Film Making’ by using different models and mediums.

  Visits to the premier animation studios like Rhythm and Hues Studios and Tata Elxsi (Visual Computing Labs) were also instrumental as the students learnt all about the production aspects, along with various other details about the working of such animation studios.

  The symposium was a huge success not just because of the experts’ presence but also because of the students’ attitude to be an active part of the event and learn more from the opportunity that was presented.
