Golden Cursor Animation Awards to be held on 8th May, 2009!
Mumbai: Arena Animation & Cell 18 have announced the date for hosting the prestigious Golden Cursor Animation (GCA) Awards. The eagerly-awaited event shall be held on 8th May, 2009.
The Awards seek to recognize & honour the best in the Indian animation, VFX & gaming space.
A panel comprising animation experts from Arena Animation, The Cell (the TV18 graphics & animation team), AnimationXpress.com & the Tech2 editorial team are conducting a first screening to filter entries on the basis of pre-determined parameters.
The entries will then be judged by a panel of stalwarts & experts drawn from the Indian animation industry (names to be announced soon).
Now in its second year, GCA is broadening its horizons with the inclusion of VFX & Gaming categories along with Animation. A whole new list of categories including Best VFX sequence in a Feature Film, Best Online Casual Game, Best Animated Edutainment Content – among others - has been added.
Both students & professionals have sent entries & are now in the running for a Golden Cursor Award of their own!
