However, for this to happen, the industry needs oodles of fresh talent in the form of new animators. To identify and encourage such new talent, Arena Animation and CNBC TV18 have launched the ‘Golden Cursor Excellence in Animation Awards’. |

| Award process |
|
| All entries are screened and filtered by a panel of animation experts from The Cell (the TV18 graphics and animation team), Tech2 editorial, and AnimationXpress.com. The final selection will be done by a jury consisting of prominent names from the industry. |
|
| The Golden Cursor Awards are being extensively covered on television, in newspapers and on the Internet. Continuing media coverage will ensure that good work is noticed and that young animators get a chance to make their mark in the industry. |

Individuals/ companies/ organisations can send multiple entries. There is no limit on the number of entries that can be sent |
|
| 2. |
The nomination forms should be typed or handwritten |
|
| 3. |
Each form can be used only for a single entry; multiple entries on one form will not be permitted |
|
| 4. |
For multiple entries, form to be printed or photocopied separately for each separate entry |

| Eligibility |
|
|
| The following rules are applicable to entries sent across all categories. The work to be entered should: |
|
| 1. |
Be of Indian origin, released to Indian audiences |
|
| 2. |
Be in Hindi, English or any other Indian regional language or dialect |
|
| 3. |
Have been released to Indian audiences between January 1, 2006, and June 30, 2007 |
|
| 4. |
Be in the DVD Pal or Beta Pal formats only |
|
| 5. |
Have proper sound sync |
|
| 6. |
Be sent along with an additional back-up copy. Company’s covering letter and nomination forms should also have been filled up completely |
|
| 7. |
Be accompanied by two print-resolution images which can be used to feature the entry in the Awards brochure/ catalogue |
