Learning beyond the classroom offers a whole host of opportunities to nurture creativity. At this Arena centre, education is not just confined to books, computers, and classrooms. Here are a few reasons why students choose Arena Animation, Vile Parle West, for their career training:
Aakruti is an annual event organised by Arena Animation centres in Vile Parle & Andheri (W). The event is a platform for students to showcase their creative talent to the world. During the three-day exhibition, students showcase their work to around 15,000 visitors as well as a jury comprising eminent people from animation & VFX studios.
Winners are awarded trophies & certificates during the Awards Night. The exhibition is not only important for students but also for their parents. They get to see their child’s hard work and creativity. The event also includes interactive and educational master classes conducted by industry experts.
The entire event is managed by the students themselves with help from an organising committee. Ad campaigns, 2D & 3D short films, comic strips, VFX & live action clips are showcased to visitors during Aakruti.
Apart from creative activities, students are also involved in outdoor sports - including cricket, running races, relays, shot put, and discus throw. Indoor games and activities include carom, chess, acting, dancing, and singing.
The event is conducted for students of Arena Animation centres in Vile Parle & Andheri (W). However, entry to the creative competition is open to media students from around the world.
Technimation is an interactive session conducted by Arena Animation Vile Parle centre, where the gurus of animation, VFX, and gaming industries discuss new & emerging industry trends with students. Students get the opportunity to interact with professionals and learn more about getting started in the industry. Recently, sessions were conducted on topics such as augmented reality, camera angles, and careers in VFX & gaming industries.
The centre publishes its own in-house magazine - Anipedia. This magazine is designed & developed by the students themselves. The basic objective of this magazine is to make the students aware of the working environment in the publishing industry.
The centre organises visits to professional animation & VFX studios for their students, once in 3 months. These studio visits help students meet professionals from the industry, see their work, and get hands-on experience with production methods & new technologies.
The centre conducts grooming & personality development sessions to help students improve their communication & presentation skills, and build confidence for job interviews. The faculty prepares students for technical & verbal interviews for job placements, and helps them create professional resumes. As a result of such extensive preparation, students of the Arena Vile Parle centre have been placed with various top companies across the country, at good salaries.
The Arena Animation Vile Parle (West) centre organises a range of curricular and extra-curricular activities including live sketching sessions, study tours, adventure tours, overnight picnics, and photography sessions for students.
