Sreemon Das (CEO, AFX Animation), Abhijit Dutta (Storyboard Artist, AFX Animation), Sovan Dutta (3D Artist, AFX Animation) have conducted workshops in 3D Painting. Students learned perspective of character, object or background, light and shadow through the sessions.
Biswajit Mandal, a senior VFX expert in the Bangla film and TV industry conducted a workshop on 'Film & episode editing'.
RJ Abhishek, Red FM, conducted a workshop on voice over acting, shared their experience and offered their valuable guidelines to students.
Sreemon Das (CEO, AFX Animation) along with Jayanta Bhattacharyya (actor) and Sovan Dutta (artist) conducted a workshop on ‘facial expression & body language’. The workshop included digital presentations, live acting, and spot drawing sessions. The workshop helped students improve their acting skills, which are essential for animators.
Moloy Sarkar, a senior photographer in the industry conducted a workshop on ‘creative photography’ to help students enhance their creative thinking and technical knowledge in photography.
Videographer Partha Pratim Dutta conducted a workshop on ‘creative videography’. The students learned to handle still & movie cameras, cameras’ technical aspects, use of natural & artificial light for shooting, framing, and image/ video editing.
Srijani is an annual event organised by Arena Animation Garia centre where students showcase their creative talents.
Kalpajit Nath (2D production director, AFX Animation), Sanjeev Shah (3D production director, AFX Animation), Dipjoy Sircar (director, Cymbals Arts and Entertainment), Sudipta Kundu (director, Digital Medio), and Tarun Mishra (production director, AFX Animation) graced the occasion.
Arena students created an animated video on stroke, with the help of neuro specicialist. The video was released during Srijan 2016. This project helped students gain hands-on experience on all aspects of creating a professional video – from storyboarding to final output – under the guidance of experts from AFX Animation.
In December 2016, the centre organised a competition for students to showcase their skills & talents. Students participated & won prizes in various competitions held in the categories: caricature, hand craft, and 3d painting. Sreemon Das (CEO, AFX Animation) judged the competion & awarded trophies to the winners.
Arena Animation, Garia, recently organised a two-day camp for students and industry experts, at Bidisha, Kharagpur. At the camp, students got the opportunity to interact with the industry experts and receive one-on-one guidance from them. New & emerging industry trends were one of the topics of discussion. With outdoor art classes and fun-filled activities like dance, music, acting and sports, students had an enjoyable experience at the camp.
As Arena Animation Garia centre works closely with an international animation studio, students here get industry exposure even before the completion of their course. They often work on international animation projects during their training period and get free internship opportunities.
The centre conducts grooming & personality development sessions to help students improve their communication & presentation skills and build confidence for job interviews.
